Eagle Mountain Lake

Eagle Mountain is a 9,200 acre lake on the West Fork Trinity River, just north of Fort Worth. Catfish, crappie, and several types of bass fishing are popular, as are boating, jet skiing, sailing, and other water sports. The area offers public beaches and boat ramps, plus several marinas with restaurants, gas docks, stores, beaches, and other amenities.

The Fort Worth Boat Club was established in 1929. It features sail boat slips and boat houses, a restaurant and bar, tennis courts and a pool. They hold several regattas each year and offer sailing camp for kids each summer.

Available lake front homes range in price from about $130,000 to over $2,500,000. Several neighborhoods have community boat ramps, docks, beaches, and parks. There are gated communities and golf courses.

Lake Country offers an established neighborhood with older homes built in the early seventies to new construction still going on today. Waterfront, golf course lots, and homes built high on the hills with magnificent views of the lake can be found here. Prices range from the lowers $100s for homes not on the water to over $2,000,000.

One of the newer subdivisions offering lakefront homes is The Resort. This gated community features a golf course, clubhouse, and boat ramp. Homes range from cozy villas starting around $235,000, to over 5000 square feet approaching $1,500,000. Several waterfront homes are available.

Oak Harbor Estates, in Azle, has custom homes from the mid eighties to new construction. The community features a playground, beach, picnic area, and boat ramp. Waterfronts homes available now range from $339,000 to $700,000.

The west side of the lake offers some nice homes in secluded areas, some with wonderful views of the lake.
